We offer a range of cost-effective products and services, including shaker tables (mineral concentration tables), mercury recovery devices (utilized for land restoration), tele-detection services (which detect mineral concentration through satellite imagery), and activated carbon formulations designed to support reforestation programs aimed at restoring degraded lands affected by mercury contamination. Additionally, we provide EGRS's patented green chemistry formula, which replaces mercury amalgamation to enhance recovery efficiency. Furthermore, we develop project plans to participate in REDD+, ARR, and similar programs, where mining concession participants receive compensation for their conservation and reforestation efforts within their mining areas.
Over the years, there have been numerous attempts to address the issues of land deforestation, degradation, and forest contamination caused by mercury use, illegal mining, and illegal logging in the Amazon region of Madre de Dios, Peru. Unfortunately, most of these efforts have failed. The primary reason for this is that the government has sought to enforce compliance through strict legal measures, rather than fostering collaboration between the mining community and regulatory entities such as the Ministry of Mines and the Ministry of Environment.
Our initiative aims to form a coalition with one of the key stakeholders contributing to environmental degradation, working together to initiate positive change from the ground up. We propose specific conditions and incentives contingent upon a successful commitment of 20 to 30 years. This commitment requires responsible mining operations and offers rewards in the form of technology to enhance performance.
Additionally, our initiative will enable participation in REDD+ and ARR programs, allowing mining concession holders to utilize these funds to pay local laborers, particularly those from agricultural backgrounds, to help protect and restore the degraded land. These highlights represent the core goals of our initiative, which we are actively developing and expanding in the Madre de Dios region of Peru.
Oro Ecológico is the driving force behind the carbon credit initiative for mining concessionaires in Madre de Dios, collaborating closely with PASKAY, a Peruvian company composed of professionals with extensive experience in facilitating responsible investment in forests and working alongside their guardians and caretakers.
PASKAY aims to transform complex climate financing schemes for forests into concrete actions on the ground that translate into tangible goals and benefits for people, enhancing their potential to reduce deforestation. The company firmly believes in the critical role of the private sector in generating large-scale investments needed in forests to create sustainable benefits for communities.
The Jurisdictional REDD+ Programs supported by regional governments are designed to implement activities that reduce deforestation and forest degradation. These initiatives channel international climate financing to support various strategic planning tools that lack the necessary funding for their implementation, including:
- The Low-Emission Rural Development Strategy (ERDRBE)
- The Regional Climate Change Strategy (ERCC)
- The Concerted Regional Development Plan (PDRC)
Through these efforts, regional governments gain access to international climate financing, which helps to halt deforestation and contributes to the global effort against climate change, while also aiding Peru in achieving its international climate commitments through the Nationally Determined Contributions (NDC).
Oro Ecológico initiative
Initially focusing on the Madre de Dios region of Peru, the vision is to expand these efforts throughout the entire country, where forest protection is essential.
With the support of PASKAY's technical expertise, RA Ingenieros and legal experts in mining and the environment, alongside strategic alliances with organizations such as Pure Earth, UNAMAD and others, mining concessions are going to be integrated into the REDD+ and Afforestation, Reforestation, and Restoration (ARR) programs.
Achieving the Oro Ecológico initiative's goals will have significant socio-economic impacts in the Madre de Dios region of Peru and beyond.

Overall, the success of the Oro Ecológico initiative will serve as a model for sustainable development in other regions, creating a balance between economic growth and environmental protection.
My name is Antonio F. Kaik, and I am the President of Oro Ecológico Peru and co-founder of Enviro Gold Refining Systems (EGRS) in Tampa, Florida, USA.
After assisting in the development of our innovative green chemistry for gold and precious metals refining, I made the decision to return to my birthplace, Peru, in 2023. My goal is to study the mining industry in the Madre de Dios region and its potential for growth.
Through visits to local miners in various communities—such as Huaipetue, Colorado, La Pampa, and Pacal—I have interviewed industry leaders, including gold miners, engineers, scientists, law enforcement officials, and farmers. This experience revealed a strong desire and genuine need for improved practices in the region.
In response to this need, I founded Oro Ecológico Peru, driven by both personal motivations and a commitment to bringing positive change. Our initiative aims to introduce advanced technology, program funding, and real economic incentives to enhance the local mining industry.
I am supported by an enthusiastic and dedicated team that is ready to make a difference. Together, we aim to create sustainable solutions for the region.
I would like to highlight some of the key shareholders of Enviro Gold Refining Systems (EGRS) and provide a brief description of our technology, which I plan to introduce on a smaller scale in the near future.
David Caldwell, Founder and Vice President of EGRS, Dylan Caldwell ( President ) and other members of our team, we collectively bring over 40 years of experience in the industry.
David have worked in operating the first full-service gold refinery in Florida, United States Smelting and Refining. Today, with the help of our team, our company holds patents for green refining technologies that effectively refine precious metals from various sources, including E-scrap, rare earth metals, PM from industrial catalysts, gold mining tailings, alluvial and hard rock mining, 14-karat gold scrap from jewelry and polishing sweeps, gold electronics, and dental materials.
The EGRS patented reactor system is a novel design to improve dissolution efficiency while reducing operational costs. Our reactors can be constructed from various materials to accommodate multiple chemical and material inputs, including Hastelloy alloys, specialized fluoro-polymers, and Pyrex glass.
The specialized design of the EGRS reactors creates significant agitation, forming billions of microbubbles within the system. These reactors are designed to utilize a gas-based oxidation/reduction agent to facilitate an efficient chemical reaction within the vessel under no more than 5 PSI. The metal alloy to be dissolved has been atomized to a - 320 mesh powder. This combination of metal powder and the microbubble form of the oxidizer allows for Au dissolving/precipitation cycles in 30 minutes or less.
A New Cost-Effective Technology for Gold and Precious Metal Refining
Over the past five years, EGS has conducted extensive research and development of our patented Micro Bubble Reactor System at our testing lab in Tampa, Florida. This system has been tested with all forms of precious metals from the various sources mentioned above.
When integrated with SCADA sensor software, the EGRS system achieves full automation. It significantly outperforms conventional gold refining systems by using 90% fewer chemicals, operating ten times faster, and requiring substantially less manpower and electricity. This efficiency positions EGRS as a leading solution in the gold refining industry.
Our unique chemistry allows us to fully computerize our system, enabling complete inventory accountability. The EGRS system is highly flexible, with two acid-based dissolving chemistries: one for high gold content (25% to 99%) and another for high copper-based alloys with low gold content.
