Resguardos of the Sierra Nevada Colombia and Oro Ecologico

We participated in the Amazonian Expo held in Madre de Dios, Peru. Most attendees were from the agricultural, forestry, and conservation sectors. Our initial initiative aimed to involve artisanal gold miners in conservation efforts such as REDD+ and ARR. We seized the opportunity to present our program to visitors and business owners, who showed genuine interest and support for our efforts. They contributed not only by signing petitions to the government advocating for the inclusion of the mining sector but also with their land! Landowners with extensive plots expressed their desire to participate in our program. As a result, we secured an additional 27,000 hectares of forest land committed to our paid program focusing on deforestation prevention.
