Brazil Field Mission — June 2026

In June 2026, the Oro Ecológico Nexus team completed a landmark field mission across two of Brazil's most significant indigenous territories. Mandates covering 40-year carbon credit rights and natural capital asset management were signed with community leaders in Alto Rio Negro (Baniwa) and Raposa Serra do Sol, Boa Vista. These agreements represent the foundation of rights-first conservation finance — negotiated on community terms, in community territory.

Our Approach

How We Work in the Field

1

Free Prior and Informed Consent

Every mandate is preceded by a full FPIC process. Communities are informed, consulted, and empowered to negotiate terms before any agreement is signed.

2

Community-Led Negotiation

Terms are set by community leaders, not imposed by external parties. Oro Ecológico Nexus acts as a facilitator and long-term partner, not a landlord.

3

Independent Oversight

The Ethics & Transparency Committee provides independent verification of all field agreements, ensuring compliance with international indigenous rights standards.

4

Documented Evidence

All signed mandates are preserved as legal documents and made available to institutional partners as part of the ESG Impact Membership due diligence package.

Request the Full Due Diligence Package

Institutional partners can request access to the complete mandate documentation, community benefit-sharing schedules, and independent verification reports.
